New members are expected to progressively purchase their uniform items. A general rule of thumb is one new item for each event attended. Please make sure that you take a veteran reenactor with you when you purchase. Please be aware with purchasing your equipment as some suttlers sell items that are not of good quality or not period appropriate.

• The items are listed in the order in which they should be obtained:
  • Canteen (Bulls-eye)
  • Brogans and one pair woolen socks
  • Eyeglasses to your prescription in period frames (if needed)
  • Haversack, black, tarred and ness equipment
  • White shirt
  • Red pantaloons and gaiters
  • Zouave jacket and sash
  • Fez
  • Vest
  • Belt with SNY buckle, cartridge box (with tins) and cap pouch. (no brass necessary for the box)
  • Weapon (recommended Edfield 3 band) with bayonet
    NOTE:At this point, first level first person should be ready.
  
  
• The following items are required to complete the Confederate uniform:
  • tent (if desired)
  • Striped panataloons
  • Red battle shirt
  • Hard sided backpack
  
  
• The following items are optional:
  • Bowie knife (tied for battle)
  • White canvas trousers
  • Sack coat
  • Forage cap (no brass)
